How to find information in the Illinois Harvest

The Illinois Harvest allow users to browse current collection titles listed alphabetically (Collection A-Z) and to search information in these three categories: Digital Contents about Illinois, Scholarly Journal Articles and Digitized Cultural Assests hosted at the UIUC Library. Users can open/close each search box by clicking the [+]/[-] sign.

Search for Digital Content about Illinois

Users are able to search distributed and heterogeneous collections from different institutions with this search function which is enabled by Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH). Keyword/Phrase search option finds terms you have typed no matter where they appear in the bibliographic record. You can also search by the Name of Author/Artist, or the Title/Subject. Search by entering multiple words will work like Boolean AND, which means that only results with all of the words found will be retrieved.
